Kantaifi

Ingrediënts: 1 kg kadaifi. 250 gr almonds. 250 gr walnuts. 1 cup sugar. Half cup breadcrumps. 2 eggs. 1 cup butter. Cinnamon powder. For the syrup: 1 kg sugar. 3 cups water.
Recipe: Chop the almonds, walnuts and make the breadcrumps very fine. Mix almonds, walnuts, sugar, eggs, cinnamon and the breadcrumps. Kadaifi usualy to be found add oriental stores. Grease the baking dish and put half the kadaifi, add the mix and cover with the remaining kadaifi. Heat up butter and pour over the kadaifi. Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 45 minutes. The foil must be removed about 5 minutes as baking is over. Prepare syrup and pour over the kadaifi when ready. Wait and let the syrup absorb well.
