Founded in 1346 by Saint Ursula and destroyed by the city fire in 1421. Most houses today date from 17 th century. In the past unmarried woman or widows, the 'Begijnen' lived here. They served and teached the monks in the nearby monestry According tradition poor eldery woman live here.
