Some hotspots on the Rokin are the Allard Pierson Museum, showing ancient history from Greece and other mediteran countries. The department store Maison de Bonneterie with exclusive clothing and other goods and the cigar shop for real smokers Hajenius. A monument of prinses Wilhelmina riding a horse like an amazone. The channel (end of the Amstel river) used to flow all the way to the Dam square, until the thirties last century. Plans for reopening, in combination with the new metro track are reconsidered.
